Les intrigues amoureuses se mêlent à la satire sociale, notamment à travers le personnage de Cléonte, amoureux de la fille de Jourdain, Lucile. Cléonte doit user de stratagèmes pour contourner les ambitions démesurées de Jourdain, qui rêve de marier sa fille à un noble. Le dénouement, orchestré par une mascarade turque, révèle le ridicule de Jourdain tout en assurant l'union des amants. Cette pièce, à la fois divertissante et critique, reste une oeuvre intemporelle qui interroge les comportements humains face à la quête de statut et de reconnaissance sociale. __________________________________________ BIOGRAPHIE DE L'AUTEUR : Molière, de son vrai nom Jean-Baptiste Poquelin, est né à Paris le 15 janvier 1622. Fils d'un tapissier du roi, il reçoit une éducation soignée avant de se consacrer au théâtre. En 1643, il fonde l'Illustre Théâtre avec Madeleine Béjart, mais les débuts sont difficiles. Après plusieurs années de tournée en province, Molière revient à Paris en 1658, où il obtient la protection de Louis XIV. Sa carrière prend son essor avec des oeuvres telles que "Les Précieuses ridicules", "L'École des femmes" et "Tartuffe". Molière est reconnu pour sa capacité à mêler comédie et critique sociale, utilisant le rire pour dénoncer les hypocrisies et les travers de son époque. Malgré le succès, il fait face à des critiques et des censures, notamment de la part des dévots. "Le Bourgeois gentilhomme", créé en 1670, reflète son talent pour la comédie-ballet, genre qu'il développe en collaboration avec le compositeur Lully.

Mehr als 40Jahre hat Rainer Ackermann, Jahrgang 1960, an diesem Buch geschrieben und man kann es mit ruhigem Gewissen als sein Lebenswerk betrachten. Mit vielen Menschen hat er sich unterhalten und einige Zitate derer mit einfließen lassen, jene, die man doch mal hinterfragen sollte und beachten, denn sie sind bedeutender als man denkt. Viele Bücher hat er gewälzt und wirklich benutzt für seine Arbeit. Ein Lexikon der Religionen mit eingeschlossen die politische Situation der Länder, Philosophie, Physik, und auch eine Erklärung des Kapitalismus findet man in diesem Buch. Es lohnt sich Textstellen zu markieren, denn es sind oft Dinge so gut erklärt, dass man sie wiederverwenden möchte oder in Diskussion treten. Rainer Ackermann selbst bezeichnet sich als Solitär-Wicca. Das bedeutet, er gehört keiner Hexengemeinschaft an. Er sagt: "Du kannst zwar an eine Menge glauben, aber glaub nicht alles." So gilt es für ihn, jegliche Religion zu hinterfragen, aber immer er selbst zu bleiben. Ein kleines bisschen Provokation ist auch dabei, denn die Wahrheit ist nicht immer jedem vom Geschmack. Eine wichtige Grundlage, um sich auszutauschen. Er lebt im Taunus, ist verheiratet, hat zwei Kinder, ein paar Katzen und ein kleines Hunderudel.

Aesop's Fables, or the Aesopica, is a collection of fables credited to Aesop, a slave and storyteller believed to have lived in ancient Greece between 620 and 564 BCE. Of diverse origins, the stories associated with his name have descended to modern times through a number of sources and continue to be reinterpreted in different verbal registers and in popular as well as artistic media. The fables originally belonged to the oral tradition and were not collected for some three centuries after Aesop's death. By that time a variety of other stories, jokes and proverbs were being ascribed to him, although some of that material was from sources earlier than him or came from beyond the Greek cultural sphere. The process of inclusion has continued until the present, with some of the fables unrecorded before the later Middle Ages and others arriving from outside Europe. The process is continuous and new stories are still being added to the Aesop corpus, even when they are demonstrably more recent work and sometimes from known authors. Manuscripts in Latin and Greek were important avenues of transmission, although poetical treatments in European vernaculars eventually formed another. On the arrival of printing, collections of Aesop's fables were among the earliest books in a variety of languages. Through the means of later collections, and translations or adaptations of them, Aesop's reputation as a fabulist was transmitted throughout the world. Initially the fables were addressed to adults and covered religious, social and political themes. They were also put to use as ethical guides and from the Renaissance onwards were particularly used for the education of children. Their ethical dimension was reinforced in the adult world through depiction in sculpture, painting and other illustrative means, as well as adaptation to drama and song. In addition, there have been reinterpretations of the meaning of fables and changes in emphasis over time.
